The dashing Bützer

2019 the dashing Bützer

There are many things that are unique in the Beuel Women’s Carnival and are simply part of it. Our Bütz officers have a particularly important position in this. Like Karla Kolumna, the raging reporter, these two gentlemen race through the halls at lightning speed and beat every colorful Jeckin they come across. Once unleashed, they are unstoppable and exude charm and joy like hardly anyone else does. And every little bundle comes from the heart! But not only can they fight like the world champions, they are also the salvation for the princess, Obermöhn and the entire team in every situation! Every girl who has ever had the honour of holding the office of laundress princess has learned to love her and, I promise, everyone has loved her officers. They pick you up every day at the front door and accompany you to the car, they open every door for you, massage your feet and fulfill your every wish. In doing so, they have a good view of everything that is happening around them and never lose control. What woman does not long for such stately men? Of course, you don’t just become a Bützofficer of the Beuel Washer Princess. First of all, the Bütz officers are proud members of the princess’s protection troop, the Beuel city soldiers. The troupe in the beautiful red and blue uniforms has always put two supporters at the side of their princess. In the past, the young men took turns in this honorable task. This changed when, at the beginning of the 90s, two gentlemen agreed to accompany the washer princess permanently instead of moving through the halls with her corps. Karl-Heinz Honrath and Dieter Müller, as the two were called, were initially simply the soldiers at the princess’s side, until Washer Princess Marion I jokingly called for her Bütz officers in 1993. Since then, the term has become firmly established and has become an integral part of our beautiful customs at the Schäl Sick. This beautiful and quite enviable office is currently held by Josef Schwanenberg and Wolfgang Schenk.

Dear Josef has known for a long time how the rabbit runs, because Romina I. (2019/20) will be his 8th princess, at whose side he will always stand. The 64-year-old scaffolding worker is versatile. Whether as a reserve driver, living hand warmer or short-term dad replacement, he is always there and a real comrade. Wolfgang also always fulfills his duties conscientiously. He has been with the Beuel city soldiers for more than 50 years and is a living encyclopedia as far as the troops are concerned. He helps and supports where he can and has the brisk hip swing of all. As soon as the music sounds, he is always ready and marches ahead with a big smile on his face so that no one gets lost. In Romina’s session, he will take this office for the third time and always find the right way to the stage. It is hard to believe how we otherwise so self-confident women beg for Bützchen, we have only spotted the Bützoffizieren. You just have to love them and we are incredibly proud that they are standing by Romina again this year.
